This notice explains what happens to your personal data when you visit outsideofthefox.co.uk or get in touch with us.
Who we are
Outside of the Fox, of Millgate Farm, Stockport, is the data controller for this website. You can reach us at hello@outsideofthefox.co.uk.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us directly:
- Your name and email address, when you send an enquiry through our contact form or email us.
- The content of your message, so we can respond to it.
We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics on this site, so we collect nothing about how you browse.
Why we use it
Only to respond to your enquiry and, if it leads to working together, to manage that relationship. This rests on our legitimate interest in running the studio and replying to people who contact us, and on carrying out a contract once you engage us.
Who processes and shares it
Our contact form is handled by our hosting provider, Netlify, which receives your submission and passes it to us. Netlify acts as our data processor for this, and nothing more. We do not share your enquiry with anyone else, unless a specific piece of work genuinely requires it, in which case we will tell you plainly first.
Buying from us
Purchases through our shop are handled by Payhip, which takes the payment and delivers the file. Your purchase details go to Payhip as the seller platform, under its own privacy notice, and we do not see or store your payment details.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and contact records for two years from your last contact with us, then delete them, unless we are required to keep them longer for a specific legal or contractual reason.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@outsideofthefox.co.uk and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies
This site runs cookie-free. No analytics, no advertising trackers. The contact form uses a simple hidden honeypot field to catch spam bots, which does not set a cookie or track you. If you pick a colour or contrast theme, that single preference is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it. It stays on your device, it is not a cookie, and it tells us nothing about you. If any of this ever changes, we will update this page and add a consent option before anything non-essential runs.
