Accessibility statement

outsideofthefox.co.uk, last updated 8 August 2026

Accessibility is not an afterthought here, it is the point. This statement explains what we have done on this site, and what is still in progress.

What we are aiming for

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across this site.

What is already in place

  • Colour contrast checked against AA requirements.
  • One clear heading per page, with a sensible heading structure underneath.
  • Alt text on meaningful images, and decorative images marked so screen readers skip them.
  • Visible keyboard focus states throughout, and a skip-to-content link on every page.
  • Contact form fields with accessible labels.
  • Reduced-motion support for anyone with that browser or system preference set.
  • A choice of light, dark and high-contrast themes, remembered between visits.

Known limitations

A full assessor-led screen-reader audit is still to be completed. Any issues it identifies will be recorded here and prioritised for remediation.

How we test

This page reflects a build-time pass: contrast tooling, semantic HTML, and keyboard testing. A full assessor-led pass, including screen-reader testing through the Neurodiversity Design Council, is planned, and we will update this statement when it is done.

Tell us about a problem

If you hit an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site, please tell us, we want to know. Email hello@outsideofthefox.co.uk with the page and what happened, and we will get back to you within five working days.
